I didn't even need to see this sign to know I was home.
The sun was brighter.
It was warm hot. It felt good.
After a long car ride home where my mother didn't shut her eyes once due to the fact that I am a "reckless driver" (what is she talking about?! I've only hit 6 people, no biggy.) we made it!
Not much has changed around here since my leaving for BYU last fall.
California is still it's awesome self, as expected!
and me on the other hand? I am even more awesome, cooler, taller, wiser, more mature (my California friends are shaking their heads, shut up guys!) smarter and maybe, juuuuuust maybe more attractive than before college.**

Awwww. You're home. I'm happy for you, sad for me. We didn't ever get that shopping trip done! Truth be told, when that got postponed, I did a bunch of damage online. What?! I was all geared up and in the mood. Somebody had to do it, so I guess that was me :D

Emily you are so special!! I love your blog posts :) You're EVERY BIT of the taller, wiser, more mature and smarter Emily you could imagine :) ... I too am basking in some sun, Arizona sun, trying to get my tan back! I've been distracting myself, trying to remember where home is, and today I found out where my NEW home is going to be for the mission and such (and I guess I'll have to say goodbye to that sun seeing as I'm going to Washington!!)Anyways, thanks so much for sharing your thoughts and your spirit with everyone through not only your posts, but especially through your example, and your beautiful smile :) I hope to see you again, and let's seriously look into getting a road trip together! Meet up in San Diego or something. We'll see :)
